From video and photos to text, we want to spread the word about Roadtrip Nation in any way we can. Our Managing Editor, with her love for words and syntax, works with all departments at Roadtrip Nation by overseeing copy for our websites, promo materials, social media, and pretty much anything with text on it, to make sure it says and means what Roadtrip Nation is through and through.

From the Roadtrip Nation stickers, posters, and DVD packaging to our website, our Design department makes all our visual needs happen! They’re a hard working crew beset with the challenging task of turning our ideas on napkins and bits of a random night’s dream into reality. Our designers put a lot of blood, sweat, and brainpower into their work by drawing inspiration from many different sources and playing with a variety of textures in design. They never cease to impress us.

Building partnerships and relationships with those who support Roadtrip Nation is a huge aspect that helps us bring our Movement to you. Our Development team works hard to relay our story to potential supporters and work with them in many ways so that we can bring Roadtrip Nation into your community—whether it’s with The Roadtrip Nation Experience in schools or the documentary series in public television stations across the country. They’re also pros at making sure things run smoothly and seamlessly here at our office.

The crew at our nonprofit, RoadtripNation.org, is made up of a brilliant team of teachers and program developers who bring more than 26,000 students nationwide The Roadtrip Nation Experience, RoadtripNation.org’s educational curriculum that helps students discover pathways relevant to their interests in life. They collaborate with educators, administrators, and students all over the country—and they’re always thinking of new ways to make The Experience as relevant, encouraging, and inspiring as it can be for the students.

Music plays such a key role here at Roadtrip Nation. From our TV series to just playing our favorite tunes in the office; sweet sounds from everything from the likes of local indie bands to The Arcade Fire can be found mellifluously permeating throughout our office. We’re all about supporting local and indie artists on Roadtrip Nation, and our music team sifts through many indie artist applications every year to choose the tunes that fits the core of Roadtrip Nation—music that follows its own road.

Our Outreach team is so crucial to what we do here at Roadtrip Nation. They take what happens inside our walls and share it with thousands, well… to millions, of people across the country (and across the world) through our campus events, Green RV tours, and other gatherings. High-spirited and energetic, when our Outreach team isn’t smiling inside our offices, they’re often on the road connecting and building relationships with people to spread the word about the Roadtrip Nation Movement. Whether they even need coffee in the morning is questionable.

Our Video Production crew here films and produces the documentary series every year so it can be broadcast nationally on public television—and reach hundreds of thousands of people. Our talented team sets a creative vision for each episode and then thoughtfully and meticulously edits down hundreds of hours of footage each year after being on the road for weeks filming with our Green RV Roadtrippers. They’re masters at Final Cut and have a knack for piecing together the footage in an inspiring way that really tells the story of what Roadtrip Nation’s all about.

Phrases like “geekin’ out,” “Have you cleared your cache?” and others that a small sliver of this world would understand are tossed around in the world of our Web department as commonly as asking for a side of fries with our burger. Our constantly plugged in team is always working at the speed of light (or Ethernet) to make all our interactive and functional needs happen for our website. Let’s just say we hope we don’t ever have a power outage here at Headquarters or we’d have a bunch of stir-crazy computer geeks trying to build a generator.
