Roadie Emmercelle here, giving you a Roadie tour week 1 recap! I’ll be blogging from the road, and keeping you updated on all things Fall Tour!
On Friday afternoon we finally hit the road!
We got kind of a late start, but we made it out to Kingman, Arizona. At our first stop on the way there, Conner had his first EVER taste of the goodness of In-N-Out:
Saturday started off with a bang. We stopped off at Williams, Arizona, which proclaims itself to be the “Gateway to the Grand Canyon.”
We all had our hearts set on seeing that beautiful abyss. Thanks to the government shutdown, though, we’ll just have to see the Grand Canyon on the way back. Fingers crossed that the government has it figured out in six weeks!
We got into Texas on Sunday—everything really IS bigger here. Cadillac Ranch was one of our first stops in the Lone Star State. It was a trip seeing a bunch of Cadillacs parked there, just waiting for us.
We ended the day with a bit of foosball at a local place in Wichita Falls.
Today we finally got to our first real stop close to our first school, Richardson High School. We are psyched to see all of the students tomorrow! But for now, we will fill our bellies with some delicious BBQ and call it a night.
We’ll leave you with our weekly words of wisdom from none other than Conner himself:
“Take care of yourself, kid. You’re all you’ve got.” –Connerism #1
Until next time! Goodnight, y’all!
