This trip to Austin has been more than words can explain. It’s been a whirlwind of meeting past Leaders, learning about new possible innovations, and a lot of walking!!!

Chrystal and I knew that the SXSW interactive conference in Austin, Texas, was going to be epic, but this trip has truly been a crazy ride of innovation, inspiration, and “What, this is real?!”

So, as Chrystal shared with you all, we will be heading to Austin, Texas, for SXSW (South by South West)―an interactive, film, and music conference! We are so excited to be able to share the experience with you all, too!

Mariana and I are heading down to SXSW this year, and I couldn’t be more excited! So much to learn and listen to. I’ve been looking at the bands playing, and I know I won’t get to all of them, but here’s just a few whom I am excited to see play live.
Watching old videos of yourself is always somewhat uncomfortable. I find myself watching Roadtrip Nation and wishing I had dressed better, enunciated more, combed my hair differently. Hopefully it’s true what they say about being your harshest critic! What really strikes me, though, is that it’s been almost seven years since Cathy, Seraphina, and I crammed into a bright Green RV and drove across the country interviewing people about their Roads in life. To this day, I’m still amazed at the situations we encountered, the extraordinary people who spoke with us, the wonderful opportunity this was to find our directions. I’d be lying, though, if I claimed I’ve drawn my final conclusions on how this experience shaped me as a person—in a lot of ways it’s still shaping me.
Roadtrip Nation Live is still going strong with a lot of Cold-Calling happening in the last few weeks! It’s hard to do a Cold-Call and know the right words to say to that prospective Leader, but we strongly believe anyone can do it! That means you! Yes, you!

In those days, music was my life. With the momentum I gained on the Open Road, I started a record label, promoted concerts, wrote for an online music website, and toured in a few bands. I saturated my life with music, and I loved every second of it.
