Tell us a bit about yourself?
In a true writer’s fashion, I see life as a giant story, and the more stories you have to add, the better. It doesn’t matter whether those stories include living without power while working in an unpaid internship, dislocating your knee cap multiple times, or making a YouTubevideo at midnight during midterms. I’m originally from St. Charles, MN (just outside of Rochester… think Mayo Clinic), and graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa (think… cornfields but orange). I probably couldn’t live without music, sports or social media. Some day I hope to run a marathon (and if my legs will let me, an Ironman), but right now I’m content with random 5Ks and 10Ks.
Why did you want to be a Roadtrip Nation Roadie?
It’s an amazing opportunity; not only will I get the chance to travel the country, but I’ll also get the opportunity to inspire students to follow their own roads. I graduated with a degree in print media, an industry many say is dying, but I am a firm believer in following your passion and I can’t wait to share that philosophy with others.
What are you looking forward to on the road?
Everything! I’m super excited to see the different parts of the country, meet new people (on and off the RV), eat new foods, drive a “Big Green RV”, experience RV living… the list goes on and on!
